Matchora ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Matchora mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

We collect the following types of information when you use Matchora:

Tournament data: tournaments you create or join, match results, scores, and standings.
Invite data: invite links you generate or accept to join a tournament.
Usage information: basic app usage patterns to help us improve the product (e.g., features accessed, errors encountered).

We do not collect payment information, location data, or contacts from your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account.
To run tournaments, track scores, and display standings to participants.
To send tournament invite links when you choose to share them.
To identify and fix bugs and improve app performance.
To communicate important updates about the service (infrequently, and only to your registered email).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data Sharing

Your information is shared only in these limited circumstances:

Other players in your tournament: your name is visible to other participants in tournaments you join.
Service providers: we use trusted infrastructure providers (database hosting, authentication) solely to operate the App. They process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality.
Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and tournament history for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure database storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

6. Children's Privacy

Matchora is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and personal data.
